Emma Kennedy has been appointed as the Conductor and Musical Director for Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes from January 2020. Emma has been a player with CPOF since she was a teenager. She then went on to qualify in music at Edinburgh Napier Univeristy and her commitment to CPOF has been unwavering throughout. Laterally, she held the role of Deputy Conductor and has led the orchestra in several concerts and music festivals, as well as arranging some marvellous pieces of music. We're all very much looking forward to working with Emma throughout 2020 and beyond and congratulate her on her appointment!

While we are delighted that Emma will lead the orchestra, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Jon Hargreaves, who has left us to focus on his other projects across the UK and beyond which are really taking off. This includes projects like the fantastic Nevis Ensemble. Jon has worked tirelessly over the past few years advancing the musical capability of the orchestra and arranging music, and we are very grateful for his service. He leaves us with the very best wishes for the future and will remain in touch.
