COVID-19: REHEARSALS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Please note that CPOF rehearsals will be cancelled until further notice due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. This follows the cancellation of the Scottish Concert Band Festival National Finals in Perth this weekend. 

This decision has been made to help protect our members, but also their eldery and/or vulnerable family members. This will be reviewed as this fast moving situation becomes clearer. Any updates will be posted on the website and sent to members directly. ...

Annual General Meeting 2020

The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes took place on Sunday 12th January 2020 in the Carluke Lifestyles Centre.  

The minutes of the previous AGM and the balance sheet for the previous year were proposed and seconded. President David Lannigan delivered a positive review of the year just gone, noting success in contests/music festivals and great concerts, buoyed by the inlfux of new members. Emma Kennedy Appointed Conductor and Musical Director

Emma Kennedy has been appointed as the Conductor and Musical Director for Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes from January 2020. Emma has been a player with CPOF since she was a teenager. She then went on to qualify in music at Edinburgh Napier Univeristy and her commitment to CPOF has been unwavering throughout. Laterally, she held the role of Deputy Conductor and has led the orchestra in several concerts and music festivals, as well as arranging some marvellous pieces of music. We're all ver...

CPOF Perform at the Scottish Parliament

Carluke Primrose were delighted to play in the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament on Friday 11th October. It was part of this year's Festival of Politics.

39th Annual Concert 2019

Thank you to all those who came along to our 39th Annual Concert on 15th June 2019. 

A varied programme was enjoyed by an appreciative audience, which included favourites such as the Dambusters, Concierto d'Aranjuez and the Baby Elephant Walk. The first half of the concert was rounded off by the Holberg Suite, which we performed in competitions in the run up to the concert.

2019 Annual Concert Announced!

Now in its 39th year, we are delighted to annoucne that we will be returning with our Annual Concert on Saturday 15th June 2019.


As our main concert of the year, you can be sure of a polished performance encompassing many genres with something for everyone - including new music.


This year, we are delighted to have the The Choir of St Mary's from Lanark as special guests (in a change to the original billing).

Carluke Bring Dvorak to Glasgow and Perth

The month of March has been a busy one, with CPOF playing two major music festivals in stunning venues across Scotland. 

Sunday 10th March saw Carluke return to the Glasgow Music Festival. Playing in the WInd Orchestras and Bands class, Carluke took to the stage of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall to give their first public performance of Dvorak's Symphony No. 8 (Movement II - Adagio).
