We are an award-winning amateur flute orchestra based in the town of Carluke in South Lanarkshire; competing and playing to concert audiences across Central Scotland and beyond. We have no political or religious affiliations.

Formed in 1938 by miners at the Castlehill Colliery, we are now one of Scotland’s finest amateur music groups, with a range of instruments that would be the envy of many a professional outfit.

Our Music

From movie themes, to classical overtures. If you’ve heard it, we’ve probably played it.

Our Instruments

Our full range of flutes and percussion is what gives us our unique sound.

Our History

We began as a colliery band in 1938. Find out more about where we came from.
